Bei Yue awakens and, when questioned by Ziqing about his feigned unconsciousness, he confesses that if he had not pretended, he would have missed her threatening to destroy Lu Manor for him. When asked why she was not protecting the nation, Ziqing reveals that she delegated the responsibility to Prince An. Bei Yue acknowledges that he has always seen Ziqing as his fated Princess Consort.
Bei Yue stated that once he regained his internal strength and became conscious, he was aware that youngest daughter and son-in-law attempted to poison him. He commanded that his awakening remain secret, deciding to wait and observe the unfolding events.
The son-in-law decides to take a walk, which causes his wife to worry. During his stroll, he encounters younger sister, who advises against reaching out to the Bai Family at this time, as they remain intent on harming Bei Yue. He believes that once he gains a foothold in the Bai Family, he can entrust all matters concerning the Lu Family to her.
Master Lu has received an invitation to the Qin Gathering. Mrs. Lu advises against it, citing his low strength, and mentions that the Bai Family, their arch-rival, will be there. The Bai Family is relying on their son, while Master Lu places his trust in Bei Yue, whom he sees as the future of the Lu Family. The Qu family is renowned for their qin skills, and Bei Yue reveals that Lige was trained by them. Ziqing reveals that Lige’s qin education came from her mother in Qinse Valley. Ultimately, Bei Yue resolves that they must attend the Qin Gathering.
Ziqing approaches Master Lu to discuss the qin gathering. Accompanied by Bei Yue, they will join Master Lu at the event.
The younger sister and her brother-in-law meet, and she informs him that their guests are attending the gathering.
Bei Yue suggests that Ziqing use her real identity because some people might recognize her, and then he requests her assistance with dressing. He informs her that he is her husband but will wait until she becomes accustomed to the idea.
The Lu Manor heads to the gathering, arriving at the valley. Ziqing realizes that Master Lu relies on Bei Yue to maintain their status as the leading family. The event begins with a qin recital, and Lige makes an entrance. He plays the qin with such vigor that the energy emanates towards all attendees, overwhelming them. However, Ziqing, Master Lu, and Bei Yue, observing from above, remain unaffected by the sound. Gradually, even Master Lu begins to struggle with the energy.
Currently, it appears that only the Qu Masters and Ziqing remain unaffected. Someone leaps at Lige, who swiftly retreats, and then hurls a stone statue at him, which he shatters into tiny pieces with a sound stroke. He is Bai Feiyao, representing the Bai family. (Although appearing as a ‘he’, the absence of an Adam’s apple suggests she is actually a ‘she’.) She proposes a family ranking competition since everyone is already assembled.
Feiyao offers the Fusang seed as a prize to the competition’s winner. He challenges Master Lu, but Lu’s daughter intervenes, citing her father’s frailty. The son-in-law steps up only to be defeated. Feiyao triumphs over each family member in turn. Offering the Lu Family a second chance, Ziqing bravely represents Lu Family on behalf of Bei Yue.
A ferocious battle ensues, and Ziqing defeats Feiyao. Feiyao employs an energy-fed green rope technique to capture Ziqing, but she frees herself using a sound strike, akin to the Lu family’s wind strike. Subsequently, she grasps Feiyao’s throat and reveals his true identity as a woman. Feiyao attempts another technique, but Ziqing summons her blade with energy and exposes Feiyao’s disguise as a woman.
Feiyao is defeated, yet she attempts a move; however, Father Bai intervenes, apologizing for his daughter’s dishonor.
Ziqing puts the seed up for auction. Lige bids 10,000 teals, and a bid of 30,000 teals is heard. Then, Bei Yue makes a dramatic entrance, introduced as the Fourth Prince, and receives an invitation to the qin gathering.
